Wii, a super gamecube? Maybe as far as the graphics go, but the gameplay is much better.

And it was a gag gift for my father-in-law. He plays guitar, so I got him the cheap ass PS2 and Guitar Hero 2. He was impressed, but I just laughed it off. I have two 360's, two PS3's(anybody want to buy a new PS3 for $600?), and a wii. The PS2, with all of this next-gen power, sucks.

Which game is just more fun? Without a doubt, for me, Gears is 100 times more fun than Resistance. While Gears offers the visceral, simple gameplay, I found myself bored with Resistance. There are some real ooo and aaah moments in Resistance to compare to the midnight hooting and hollering of the "only" 8 man Gears multiplayer that makes my wife come downstairs to slap me upside the head. The Resistance multiplayer is fun, but it isn't quite as insance as Gears.

I just picked up a second PS3 for $500.00. I am not sure what I am going to do with it. I then bought my first Wii for $500.00. And it is actually getting used. Resistance is fun, but beaten. So now what? Hopefully Motorstorm will be out before too long. Until then, it is Gears of War and Rainbow Six.

I think it is awesome to see the evolution of the Brutes. What was more amazing was watching the Halo 2 cutscenes and feeling like they looked like crap compared to even the pre-alpha builds. The AI looks like it will be awesome.

It is a very powerful console. It IS a Ferarri, but if the rules only let you go down a highway at 65 miles per hour, maybe it is better that you use a few tricks to go a little faster.

So D.J., you are saying that the PS3 is everything it is supposed to be? It is this all encompassing media center that plays Blu-Ray and will eventually have some games. My biggest complaint with my PS3, BESIDES the lack of games, is the supposed functionality.
